Javea boasts an impressive 15 miradors, or lookout points, that are scattered across the town and its coastline. Each one offers a unique and spectacular view of the town and the beautiful Mediterranean coastline.
To make it easy for visitors to experience all the miradors, the Javea townhall has created a specific route, known as the "Ruta de los miradores" which lines up all the miradors so that visitors can visit them one by one. This route takes visitors on a journey through the town and its surroundings, showcasing the natural beauty and diversity of Javea! So get ready to experience Javea in a completely different way and explore the Miradors of Javea!
Perched just over 160 meters above sea level, this viewpoint offers an incredible view of Javea. Due to its height, you can often see all the way to Ibiza, and a glimpse of the mountainous profiles of the province of Alicante, including the Sierra de Aitana in the distance. You also find yourself next to the incredible Montgo and its natural reserve, full of life and vegetation.
This is also a perfect spot for dates and stargazing, with some incredible night-time views over Javea!
Located to the north of Javea, just next to Cabo de la Nao, this mirador offers a panoramic view of the entire town and its mills that used to grind grain, and which were built in the 14th century. Despite no longer being in use they still stand tall and are "keeping watch" over the beautiful town we call Javea!
Located right next to the playa del Arenal, this viewpoint overlooks Javea’s most popular beach. It is perfect for observing incredible sunsets behind the Montgo mountain off in the distance
This lookout point is located right next to the sea and offers a glimpse back in time to when the Roman empire used to mine “Tosca”, a famous rock abundant in Javea that was used to construct their Roman baths!
This beautiful mirador overlooks Cala Blanca, the silver bay of Javea. With its snow-white cliff faces and incredible sand tunnels, it’s no wonder it gets its own mirador! I recommend visiting this beach!
Just a few minute’s walk from mirador de Cala Blanca, mirador de les caletes offers a unique perspective of Cala del Frances and Cala Sardinera, two spectacular hidden beaches of Javea.
This marks almost the halfway point of the “ruta de los miradores” This incredible mirador is emblematic of Javea as it overlooks the incredible Portixol island. From here you can also access Cala Portixol, as well as Cala Sardinera, or embark on a beautiful hike to Cap Prim via the local trails SL-CV 98 and SL-CV 97!
As the name suggests, this mirador also overlooks Portixol island and Cala Portixol, one of javea’s most incredible beaches due to its crystal-clear waters and abundance of marine life!
This is one of Javea’s most special and unique miradors. It overlooks Cala Portixol much like Mirador de l’illa, however you find yourself over 100 meters above sea level, giving you a unique perspective of Javea’s eastern coastline.
What makes it even more special is the abundance of natural vegetation and shade, as well as benches located around the area, making it a perfect spot for a picnic all whilst you overlook the beauty of Javea’s coastline.
Don’t tell anyone, but this is one of Javea’s most incredible spots for dates and romantic trips!
Located next to the mirador of la Falzia, it boasts a similar vantage point overlooking some of the most iconic geographical landmarks of the coast of Javea: Portixol Island, Cap Prim and Cabo de San Antonio. You will also find yourself just above Cap Negre, an impressive cape 120 meters from sea level. Here’s a few photos from below!
Cabo de la Nao is not only known for its natural beauty but also for the incredible viewpoints it offers. The first viewpoint, located next to the Restaurante Cabo de la Nao, offers a panoramic view of the Isla del Descubridor and Cala Ambolo, where on a clear day you can see all the way to Moraira, Calpe and even Benidorm!
The second viewpoint, also known as Mirador Cabo de la Nao, is next to the lighthouse, facing the east, which makes it a perfect spot for watching the sunrise. This viewpoint offers a unique and different perspective of the cape and its surroundings, and it's an excellent spot for watching the sunrise over the Mediterranean Sea.
Just a minute drive or a few minutes walk from Mirador de Cabo de la Nao, this mirador is a beautiful location that offers some benches under the shade for its visitors, all whilst being able to overlook the beauty of Javea’s southern coastline.
This is arguably my favourite mirador in Javea. As it is located on the Cape of Ambolo, you are able to overlook Cala Ambolo, one of Javea’s most spectacular beaches to your East.
At the same time, you can walk over to your west, and observe the bay of Granadella and the entire coastline of Benitachell & Moraira. From here you also have access to visit the incredible cave of Cova del Llop Mari!
This viewpoint is located on the Carretera de la Granadella, the road leading down to the famous Cala Granadella. From this beautiful mirador you can observe all the way to mirador ambolo, and on the coastline see the magical cova del llop mari, as well as the beautiful isla del descubridor.
This is a more secluded mirador and not known by many tourists. Nonetheless, it gives a unique view of the Granadella natural park, and something you should not miss out on visiting!
These beautiful miradors offer a unique perspective into Javea’s incredible coastline. They are something that you should not miss when visiting this beautiful town as they will show you sides and aspects of the coastline that are sure to amaze you.
In my personal opinion, Mirador la Faliza, Mirador Cap Negre and Mirador Ambolo are by far the most unique miradors in Javea... but you should go and see for yourself to find out!
